Yesenia Alcoser joined TRB as a communications specialist in September 2026. She is a former member of the National Academies’ digital engagement team.
Camille Crichton-Sumners, a senior program manager in TRB’s Cooperative Research Programs (CRP) and chair of the Research Pays Off Task Force, retired in August 2026. She joined TRB as a senior program officer in 2017.
Waseem Dekelbab, Deputy Director of CRP, saw his role expand in July 2026 to provide broader oversight of program delivery and strengthen coordination across CRP’s transportation programs.
Nathaniel P. Ford, Sr., was selected president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Dallas Area Rapid Transit in Dallas, Texas, in July 2026. A former chair of TRB’s Executive Committee and recipient of the 2024 Sharon D. Banks Award for Humanitarian Leadership in Transportation, he will take office on October 28, 2026, after serving as CEO of the Jacksonville Transportation Authority in Jacksonville, Florida, since 2012.
Chuck Gemayel, Executive Vice President of SME and a former member of several TRB technical committees, was named the 2026–27 President of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Michigan.
Christian Petitfrere joined CRP in August 2026 as an administrative coordinator. She had served in her former role as a TRB executive administrative assistant since 2024.
Jennifer L. Weeks, a CRP senior program manager who specialized in planning and travel forecasting, retired on October 1, 2026, after more than 12 years at TRB.
